Lithium Battery Dehumidifier2
Background

Dry air management is essential during lithium battery manufacturing. In addition to the prior quality issue, prevent unwanted chemical reactions is an important concern.

Vacuum filling and sealing steps of lithium battery production must be carried out in dry room. Since the electrolyte reacts with water. Moisture will cause the electrolyte to decompose with the emission of toxic gases. Lithium Hexafluoride (LiPF6) for instance, one of the most commonly used electrolyte materials, reacts with water forming toxic hydrofluoric acid (HF).

Lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes are carried out in dry rooms or glove boxes where the local micro environment must be controlled to preserve optimum production conditions. The typical dew point temperature range of the processing environment is from -50 °C to -40 °C.

KAWASIMA Ultralow Dew Point Dehumidifier

KAWASIMA Ultralow Dew Point Dehumidifier supplys -70oC dew point dry air which improved the lithium battery quality significantly.
