June 8th, 2023. Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) introduced a sustainability standard for data centers operating in tropical climates.

Typically, data centre operators run their equipment at 22oC and below.

The new standard aims to help data centers gradually increase their operating temperatures to 26oC and above.

It is reported: every 1 deg C increase in operating temperature, data centers could save about 2 per cent to 5 per cent in refrigeration energy.

KAWASIMA’s inverter Precision Air Conditioner offers optimum energy consumption solution for data center.

During daytime or peak mode, the inverter fan and inviter compressor fully runs to help improve efficiency of semiconductor;

During nighttime or valley mode, the inverter fan and inviter compressor runs slowly so as to save energy consumption of data center.
